More prominent than its umami, it’s smooth yet rich, with snappy hits of astringency that’s suited as your go-to for daily ceremonial rituals and blends perfectly well in matcha lattes due to the light astringency.

Taste Profile: A refined personality with mild astringency balanced by light umami and fresh vegetal notes in proportion. The earthy, rich notes, reminiscent of brussel sprouts, lends itself to a deep green hue as well as a pungent aroma that leave behind a clean, crisp aftertaste.

Enjoyment: A daily delight when made as usucha (thin tea) and especially refreshing in cold-brews over ice with a dash of honey. The mild astringency pairs particularly well with plant-based milks that produces a snappy matcha latte with a taste you’ll remember.

Matcha Origin: Kyoto, The Masterpiece is a mixed blend of Yabukita & Okumidori from June harvest.
