Enjoyment: For purity and simplicity, Emerald Emperor shines brightest on it’s own when served as Usucha (thin tea) or poured over vanilla ice cream as Koicha (thick paste).

Matcha Origins: Cultivated in the lush tea fields of Wazuka, The Emperor is a proud representation of the Gokou cultivar. Harvested in May, the celebrated first flush of the year, each leaf is nurtured in shaded conditions, then steamed, dried, and stone-ground to preserve it’s rich flavour and colour.

I turned to Early Riser (back when it was called that) at my lowest point when I was a slave to shots of espresso. It replaced my exhausting coffee dependence completely, without the emperor Green Caffeine may not have started at all!”
