FOR LATTES — Sage's best use (2 minutes)
Step 1 — Sift. Add 3–5g into your cup. Sage benefits from using slightly more powder than ceremonial grades. This makes your drink punchier.
Step 2 — Paste. Add 30–50ml of cold or warm water. Whisk into a smooth paste. (Using cold water first helps reduce bitterness)
Step 3 — Add milk. 60–80ml of your preferred milk. Full-cream dairy gives the closest boba-shop green tea latte flavour. Oat milk keeps it mild and refreshing.
Step 4 — Froth everything together. Add ice if you want it cold.
Optional: A dash of sugar, honey, or maple syrup rounds out the bitterness and makes a genuinely good daily latte.
Total time: 2 minutes.
FOR SMOOTHIES & PROTEIN SHAKES
Add 2–3g of Sage directly to your blender with everything else. The sharp green tea flavour holds up well against fruit, protein powder, and other strong ingredients. No need to pre-whisk.
FOR BAKING
Sage works well in cookies, cakes, energy balls, and anything where you want matcha colour and flavour without spending $4/serve on ceremonial grade.
FOR COLD BREW
Add 3g to 200–250ml of cold water in a jar or bottle. Shake well. Refrigerate for 1–2 hours.
The result tastes like a strong, clean iced green tea. Add sweetener if you want it smoother.
